# Placing Trades

Market orders, limit orders, TP/SL, leverage, and position sizing.

**NadoBro** places trades on **Nado** through three paths: **natural-language text input**, **the strategy cards**, and **the button flow**. All three end up at the same trade service, with the same validation, the same confirmation card, and the same on-chain signer.

NadoBro supports multiple ways to place trades — from natural language text commands to interactive buttons in your dashboard.

For Market Making, Volume Bot, and Delta Neutral, tap the relevant card from the Home menu, configure the knobs, review the pre-flight analytics, and tap **Start**.

#### Market Orders

Market orders execute immediately at the best available price on Nado DEX. Use these when you want to enter or exit a position right away.

```
long 0.5 BTC 10x market
short 1 ETH 5x market
```

#### Limit Orders

Limit orders let you set a target entry price. Your order will only execute when the market reaches your specified price.

```
long 10 BTC 10x limit 88000
short 2 ETH 5x limit 3500
```

#### Adding TP/SL

Add take profit (TP) and stop loss (SL) to any order to automate your risk management. You can set both, either, or neither.

```
long BTC 10x tp 95000 sl 85000
short ETH 5x limit 3500 tp 3000 sl 3800
```

#### Leverage

Set leverage from **1x to 50x** for BTC and ETH, and up to **20x** for all other assets. Higher leverage amplifies both gains and losses.

#### Position Sizing

Specify the size of your position in asset units. Minimum trade size is **$100**.

```
buy 0.1 BTC 10x      # 0.1 BTC position
sell 100 DOGE 5x      # 100 DOGE position
```

#### The validation pipeline

Every order regardless of source, passes through:

1. **Intent parsing** — confirm direction, size, asset, leverage.
2. **Account readiness** — wallet linked, signer ready, network selected, not paused.
3. **Product validation** — pair exists on the current network, leverage within per-asset cap.
4. **Balance & margin check** — sufficient USDT0 free margin for the trade plus a safety buffer.
5. **Isolated-only rules** — strategies that require isolated subaccounts get them.
6. **Builder routing** — 1 bp builder fee applied via NadoBro's locked routing config.
7. **Confirmation card** — shown to you. Nothing is signed yet.
8. **You tap Confirm.**
9. **Order submission** via the Nado SDK with the appropriate order type (GTC / IOC / FOK / post-only / reduce-only / trigger).
10. **Trade row** inserted in NadoBro's ledger.
11. **Archive fill sync** resolves final fill, fees, slippage, and realized PnL

#### Order types

NadoBro supports Nado's full order set:

| Type | When NadoBro uses it |
| ----------- | ---------------------------------------- |
| GTC | Default for manual limit orders |
| IOC | Strategy emergency flatten, taker fills |
| FOK | Reserved (rarely used by default) |
| post-only | Every MM and Volume Bot quote |
| reduce-only | Strategy exits, position manager actions |
| trigger     | Conditional / stop orders                |

#### Fees

| Component             | Rate          |
| --------------------- | ------------- |
| Taker                 | 1.5 bp        |
| Maker rebate          | up to −0.8 bp |
| Builder fee (NadoBro) | 1 bp          |

{% hint style="info" %} **There is a 5-second rate limit between consecutive trades. This prevents accidental double-submissions and ensures order integrity.**
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://nadobro.gitbook.io/docs/trading/placing-trades.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
