# Managing Positions

Monitor, modify, and close your open positions with real-time P\&L updates.

Once a trade or strategy is live, NadoBro gives you several ways to monitor it, adjust it, and (when needed) stop everything at once.

#### View Open Positions

Your NadoBro dashboard shows all open positions with real-time data including:

* Asset and direction (Long/Short)
* Entry price and current price
* Unrealized P\&L (profit and loss)
* Position size and leverage
* Active TP/SL levels

#### Close Positions

From the **Positions** deck, each open position offers:

* **Close** — reduce-only market flatten.
* **Reduce 50%** — reduce-only IOC for half the size.
* **Add TP / SL** — attach a trigger order.

For Delta Neutral and Market Making sessions, the strategy itself handles exits; manual close is available as a hard override.

#### `/mm_status` — Market Making dashboard

For GRID / RGRID / DGRID / Mid Mode sessions, `/mm_status` gives you a live MM-specific board:

* Cumulative volume, fees, realized + unrealized PnL.
* Fill rate, current spread, reference price.
* Inventory soft/hard cap gauges.
* POV preset and computed cycle slice.
* Gateway retry counts.
* `📊 Refresh MM board` and `🧾 Fills` quick buttons.

#### Strategy phase / status surface

Every strategy session now exposes a **phase** value that's visible in `/status` and on the strategy card. Phases include:

* For Volume Bot: `IDLE`, `PLACE_BUY`, `WAIT_BUY_FILL`, `WAIT_CLOSE_TIMER`, `PLACE_SELL`, `WAIT_SELL_FILL`.
* For Market Making: `idle`, `quoting`, plus the regime label from the DGRID classifier when applicable.
* For Delta Neutral: leg-open, leg-balanced, maintenance-check states.

This surface exists specifically so a session can **recover from a stuck or failed state** — operators (and you, via `/ops`) can see exactly where a session is rather than guessing.

#### `/stop_all` — the big red button

Stops everything in one command:

* Cancels all open Nado orders placed by NadoBro.
* Closes open positions via reduce-only IOC.
* Stops all strategy sessions and **copy mirrors**.
* Leaves your 1CT signer in place (use `/revoke` to also de-authorize).

After `/stop_all` returns, give Nado a few seconds to sync and then check the Positions deck to confirm zero exposure.

#### Trade History

View your complete trade history including past positions, realized P\&L, and execution details.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://nadobro.gitbook.io/docs/trading/managing-positions.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
