# Linked Signer (1CT)

**Linked Signer (1CT)** is how NadoBro signs Nado transactions on your behalf without ever touching your main wallet's private keys. The 1CT key is generated on first onboarding, encrypted at rest, and scoped to a single Nado subaccount. You can revoke it any time with `/revoke`.

#### What actually is 1CT

A **1CT** (one-click-trading) signer is a separate key that Nado recognizes as authorized to act on a specific subaccount. It cannot:

* Move funds off Nado.
* Change account ownership.
* Access any wallet other than the one that linked it.

**It can:**

* Place, modify, and cancel orders on Nado for the linked subaccount.
* Mint and burn NLP for the Nado Vault.
* Execute strategy actions inside the budget and risk limits you configured.

#### **How It Works**

* **Your private key never leaves your device.** NadoBro does not store or have access to your main wallet key.
* When you start NadoBro, a **signing key** is generated specifically for 1CT convenience. This key can only sign trades on your behalf.
* The signing key when **linked** to your main wallet, can execute trades but cannot withdraw your funds.
* You can **revoke the linked signer** at any time, instantly cutting off trade authorization.

#### Revoking

If you want to invalidate the 1CT signer — for example, you're leaving Nadobro, switching devices, or rotating credentials, just type `/revoke` in chat or use the revoke button in your wallet settings.

`/revoke` will:

* Cancel all open NadoBro-placed orders on Nado.
* Stop any running strategy sessions.
* De-authorize the 1CT key on Nado.
* Clear the encrypted key from NadoBro's store.

After revoking, you'll need to re-run onboarding to generate a new 1CT signer if you want to keep trading through NadoBro.

> 🛡️ `/revoke` is the safe "off switch" for NadoBro's signing authority. It does **not** withdraw your funds — that's a separate gateway action you take from your main wallet.

#### Emergency stop

If you want to halt activity without revoking the signer, use `/stop_all`:

* Cancels all open Nado orders placed by NadoBro.
* Closes open positions reduce-only.
* Stops all strategy sessions and copy mirrors.
* Leaves the 1CT signer in place so you can re-engage later.

#### Security Guarantees

* Your main wallet keys are **never touched** by NadoBro
* The linked signer has **limited permissions** — trading only
* Full **revocation control** — disable at any time
* All transactions are on-chain and **verifiable**

{% hint style="info" %} **Self-custody means you always control your funds. NadoBro cannot trade with your assets without your authorization. The Linked Signer enables fast trading while keeping your keys safe.**
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://nadobro.gitbook.io/docs/core-features/linked-signer.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
